Holiday Survival Tactics

Holiday Survival Tactics: reblogged from A Mind Divided.

I can really relate to this post by Sandy Sue of A Mind Divided. She talks about how the change of routine caused by public holidays can really throw her out of sync, and how she has coped with Hypomania during the holidays. Watch out for the Bipolar Agitation Fairy!

Wow! Sounds like she had a difficult time during the 4th of July. I had never thought of holidays being a routine disrupter, but, she’s right, they really do disrupt our routines, don’t they? Do you have a backup plan for holidays when they disrupt your routine?

Not really! I just wing it! Christmas is probably one of my worst times of the year. You know, I really should have an action plan shouldn’t I?!! Why didn’t I think of that?! Without fail my mood swinging gets way worse over Christmas, it’s like clockwork! I’ll definitely be planning for this Christmas!!

Yeah, I need one for Christmas too. I get the same way around Christmas, and that’s too bad since what it represents. I will have to think of an action plan. When you think of one, let me know. I might need to imitate. 🙂
